500ｗ_A relationship between the Internet and the physical for the art In 'The Aesthetics of Net.Art,' Julian Stallabrass described, "The ‘objects’ of Internet art are far from being conventional art objects. They are not only reproducible without degradation but are almost free to transmit." This point is concerned with the immateriality of art. The internet art can show artworks as almost perfect copies anywhere because of its immaterial nature. However, contemporary art is getting the immaterial nature and stepping on the Internet now. The immaterial nature of the Internet throws the art world into confusion. I want to show this disorder situation of the art form the viewpoint of the relationship between the Internet and the physical. 2003年に書かれた Julian Stallabrass の ' The Aesthetics of Net.Art 'で，初期のネットアートは非物質的であるがために，物質性と結びついた美的感覚に基づく現代アートとは異なる存在になっていたと指摘した．さらに，Stallabrassはnet.artの作品の多くが「機能する」ことにより，現代社会に対してダイレクトに影響を与ええていたと書く．ここでの「機能」はインタラクティブであったり，誰もがネット上で見ることができるということと関係している．対して，現代アートの作品は社会への問題提起などを行なっているが，それらはギャラリーなどでひっそりと行なわれ，うまく隠れていたとしている．ひっそりと行なわれているから，そして社会にダイレクトに影響を与えないからこそ，それらは価値をもった． 10年後の2013年「ネットの美学」はどう変わっているだろうか．ポスト・インターネットの作家たちは，自分たちのリアルの画像を物質性のない画像に変えて，インターネットに流通させつづけて，そこでの変化を楽しんでいる．ギャラリーも「画像」化した作品によって，あらたなコレクターをネット経由で獲得している．Stallabrassは「伝統的なアートのオブジェクトとインターネットアートの オブジェクト は全く異なっている」と書いたが，今でもそのちがいはなくなってきている．現代アートの作品も，どんどんインターネット・アートがもっていいた「非物質性」を取り入れてきている． 作品のJPEG画像のみの展覧会である' Send Me the JPEG ' はこの状況を皮肉ったものである．皮肉ってはいるが，この流れは止めることができない．いや，世界第３位のオークションハウス「フィリップス」がTumblrと共同して開催さいたデジタルアートのオークション「 Paddles On! 」が示すように，アートの非物質化＝データ化の流れを推し進めようとする力のほうが強いのであろう．ただ，コレクターの方はまだこの流れに懐疑的で，オークションではデジタルデータそのものの作品よりも，デジタルのアイデアでつくられた物質的な作品に高値がついた． しかし，アーティ・ヴィアーカントのエッセイ「 ポスト・インターネットにおけるイメージ・オブジェクト（The ...
